It is a non-profit organization that was set up by a Brazilian young woman to empower undergraduate students to challenge online hate speech and tackle different types of extremism. It is a worldwide organization that places young people at the forefront of the development of strategies to combat hate speech and extremism on the internet. With over 50 volunteers spread across the UK and Latin America, Words Heal the World produces toolkits to educate teenagers to use digital media to promote peace, develops social media campaigns, produces movies, elaborates the groundbreaking report The Hate Map of Brazil, and also works in partnership with other peacebuilding organizations to maximize their impacts, especially among young people.
