Mobaderoon is an independent civic organization that works to promote peaceful coexistence in Syria through capacity-building programs and grassroots initiatives designed to advance peace building, positive youth engagement, and inclusive community development. Founded in 2010, Mobaderoon brings Syrians from the different cities around Syria, and unites them around common values related to inclusion, respect for diversity, nonviolence, and social responsibility. Mobaderoon’s efforts in peacebuilding have been recognised internationally and the organization was awarded the Livia Foundation Award 2014 for its peace building achievements. In addition, in 2017, Mobaderoon received the Economic Citizenship Education Award for its work with children who are living on the streets. Moreover, it was recognised for its use of facilitation in creating positive change and
therefore, Mobaderoon was awarded the Gold Impact of Facilitation Award 2019 Lately, Mobaderoon was also awarded the 2023 Women Building Peace Awards from the Institute of Peace.
